About Peace of Mind Plumbing

A Master Plumber, a Truck, and a Straight Answer

Peace of Mind Plumbing is a family-owned, owner-operated plumbing company serving Nacogdoches County and Deep East Texas. When you call, you talk to a plumber, not a call center. We show up, tell you what’s wrong, give you a fair quote, and do the work right.

Why This Shop Exists

Nicholas spent more than a decade working for another local plumbing company before starting Peace of Mind Plumbing. Most of those years were spent watching the trade get pushed in a direction he didn’t agree with: skilled plumbers being trained to upsell, dispatchers managing calls from offices instead of crews managing the work, and homeowners getting handed estimates that had more to do with quotas than with what their pipes actually needed.

In his words: “I got tired of watching guys sit in offices trying to turn plumbers into used car salesmen. So I decided to start my own shop where I don’t sit in an office wearing khakis trying to give you sales pitches all day. I come to work the job, give you honest plumbing at a fair price, no gimmicks.”

That’s the shop. Owner operated, hands-on, and structured around the idea that the person you talk to on the phone is the same person who shows up at your house. No layers. No script. No upsell tracker on the dashboard.

Master Plumber, RMP 41912

he state issues, and per the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, earning a Master Plumber license requires years of documented field experience under a licensed Master, passing a state-administered Master Plumber examination, and ongoing continuing education to maintain the license. Nicholas holds RMP 41912 and has held it through more than three decades of residential and commercial work in East Texas.

Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners — Plumber Licensing. Master Plumber license requirements include documented field experience under a licensed Master, passing the state-administered Master Plumber examination, and continuing education to maintain the credential.

That credential matters because gas line work, sewer main installation, water heater installation, and whole-house repipes all require licensed master-level oversight to be done to code. We don’t subcontract the work. We don’t farm out the harder calls. The same Master Plumber answers the phone, runs the diagnosis, writes the quote, and does the install or repair himself. We’re licensed, bonded, insured, and we speak English and Spanish.

Inspect, Explain, Quote, Repair

Every job follows the same four steps:

Inspect. We come look at the actual problem in person. No quoting from a phone call, no ballpark numbers based on a description, no "starting at" pricing designed to get the truck in the driveway and the price renegotiated later.
Explain. We tell you what's wrong, what's causing it, and what the realistic options are. If a repair will hold, we say that. If it won't and the unit needs to be replaced, we say that too. The goal is for you to understand what you're paying for before you decide.
Quote. Written, clear, and final unless the scope changes (in which case we stop, talk to you, and re-quote before continuing). No surprise charges, no padded line items, no vague service-tier upgrades.
Repair. We do the work, clean up after, register any manufacturer warranty on your behalf, and back our installs with a 1-year warranty on every new product we source.

A Plumbing Shop, Not a Home Services Empire

We do plumbing. Residential and commercial, simple repairs to whole-house repipes, drain cleaning to gas line installation, water heater service to commercial backflow testing. That’s the lane.

We don’t do HVAC, electrical, sheetrock, paint, or general contracting. If your project crosses into those trades, we’ll happily tell you who in the area we’d recommend. But we don’t pretend to be a one-stop home services chain, and we don’t subcontract trades we aren’t licensed to perform.

We aren’t a 24/7 emergency operation, either. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and we offer same-day emergency response during business hours when scheduling allows. Outside those hours, we’d rather you know we won’t be there at 2am than promise something we can’t deliver.

What Your Neighbors Are Saying

I noticed a strong sense of discipline and professionalism throughout the entire process. Everything was handled in an organized and balanced manner, which made the experience feel reliable and comfortable. The result was excellent and highly satisfying.

I called them Friday and they said they’d be out first thing Monday morning and they were here by 8:30. They did high quality repair work on pipes and replaced two sink facets. It looks so much better than before and works like there was never an issue. The best part of this review is they were REASONABLE on charges. Highly recommend!

Serving Nacogdoches County and Piney Woods.

Peace of Mind Plumbing operates out of Nacogdoches and covers a six- county stretch of Deep East Texas Nacogdoches, Angelina, Shelby, San Augustine, Rusk, and Cherokee. Whether you’re in a city or out on a county road, we make the drive. Most communities in our service area have no local master plumber with a dedicated online presence, which is exactly why we built this site so you can find us when you need us and know what to expect before you call.
