Solutions for Every Plumbing Need

From clogged drains to whole-house repipes, here’s what we handle across Deep East Texas.

You’ll speak with Nicholas or a plumber directly, not an answering service.

Plumbing Coverage Built Around the Drive, Not the Marketing Map

Some plumbing companies list service areas they can’t actually reach in a reasonable timeframe. We don’t. The cities below are real coverage, all within a same-day-response radius from our Nacogdoches base during business hours. The drive matters because plumbing emergencies don’t wait two hours, and a leak that’s been running for four hours costs more to fix than one caught in the first hour.

Our home base at 2257 FM 2112 sits roughly in the geographic center of our service area. Most cities on the list below are 30 to 60 minutes out, with the closest (Appleby, Martinsville, Chireno) within a 20-minute drive. We treat the inner ring (Nacogdoches, Lufkin, Appleby, Martinsville, Cushing, Chireno) as primary same-day territory, and the outer ring (Center, San Augustine, Henderson, Timpson, Garrison, Etoile, Mount Enterprise, Alto) as scheduled coverage with same-day response when scheduling allows.

Across all six counties, we work residential and commercial. The six-county footprint covers Nacogdoches, Angelina, Shelby, San Augustine, Rusk, and Cherokee Counties, with hundreds of thousands of residents combined across deep East Texas, spanning working downtowns, suburban subdivisions, rural acreage, and lakefront properties. Homeowners with leaks, water heater issues, drain clogs, and remodel needs. Business owners with backflow testing, commercial gas service, and kitchen equipment hookups. The Master Plumber license carries the same weight whether the address is a single-family home in Lufkin or a restaurant in Center. We are licensed, bonded, insured, and we speak English and Spanish.

Where We Work,
Organized by County

Six counties, thirteen cities. Each city below has its own page with local context, response time from our base, common plumbing issues for that area, and the neighborhoods we cover most often. Pick the closest city to find what you need.

Nacogdoches County, TX

Our home county. Includes the city of Nacogdoches and the surrounding communities of Appleby, Martinsville, Cushing, Chireno, Etoile, Garrison, and Douglass. The oldest town in Texas, built around the Stephen F. Austin State University campus and a mix of historic and post-war housing stock. We handle every plumbing service in our scope across the county.

Angelina County, TX

South of Nacogdoches County. Anchored by Lufkin, the largest city in Angelina County and a major regional commercial hub. The Lufkin area has older housing in the historic neighborhoods, newer construction on the south and west sides, and a strong commercial base that needs backflow testing, commercial gas service, and kitchen equipment hookups.

Shelby County, TX

East of Nacogdoches County, bordering Louisiana. The county seat is Center, with Timpson sitting on the western edge of the county. Mostly rural, with smaller-town housing stock and occasional commercial work in the downtown areas. Common issues here include older galvanized supply lines, sewer line problems on properties with mature pine and oak, and tankless water heater work in newer construction.

San Augustine County, TX

East of Nacogdoches County. The county seat, San Augustine, is one of the older communities in East Texas with historic housing stock, deep pine and oak coverage, and the kind of older sewer line issues that come with mature trees on small lots. We work both residential and commercial calls in the area.

Rusk County, TX

Northwest of Nacogdoches County. The county seat is Henderson, our farthest northern coverage point. The Henderson area has a mix of historic housing in the older parts of town, new builds on the outer edges, and commercial property tied to the East Texas oil and gas economy. Mount Enterprise sits on the southern edge of Rusk County.

Cherokee County, TX

West of Nacogdoches County. The city of Alto on the eastern side of Cherokee County is our coverage point here. Older rural and small town housing, common East Texas soil and tree-root challenges, and the same residential and commercial scope we cover in our home county.

Local Conditions Most Plumbing Companies Don't Account For

East Texas isn’t Houston, Dallas, or Tyler. The Piney Woods region has its own conditions that affect how plumbing systems hold up over time, and a plumber based outside the area often misses them. Per the Texas A&M Forest Service, the Pineywoods ecoregion of deep East Texas has distinct sandy and clay-heavy soils, dense pine and hardwood coverage, and a higher annual rainfall profile than the rest of the state, all of which translate into specific plumbing patterns: aggressive tree-root activity in older sewer lines, seasonal soil shift that stresses slab-on-grade foundations and the supply lines running through them, and groundwater chemistry that affects well-water properties differently than central or west Texas.

A few things we account for that an out-of-area shop might miss: hard groundwater that builds scale on water heaters and tankless heat exchangers faster than soft-water markets; clay-heavy soil that shifts seasonally and stresses underground sewer joints; mature pine, oak, and sweetgum root systems that find sewer line cracks faster than the species in less wooded regions; and an older housing stock in the historic city centers (Nacogdoches, San Augustine, Henderson, Lufkin, Center) with galvanized supply lines, cast-iron drains, and the maintenance demands that come with both.

When we quote a job in Lufkin, San Augustine, or Etoile, we’re factoring in conditions we’ve seen on hundreds of East Texas calls before yours. Not a generic playbook copy-pasted from a national franchise’s training manual. The fix that works on a 1980s house in Houston isn’t always the right fix for a 1950s house in Center.

Local also means the people. We know which neighborhoods in Nacogdoches still have galvanized supply lines from the original construction, which streets in Lufkin sit on slabs that move enough to stress under-slab plumbing, and which areas around Sam Rayburn Reservoir have well-water households that need different treatment than city-supply homes. That kind of context isn’t in any plumbing manual. It comes from working in the same six counties for decades. When you call a Master Plumber who lives and works inside your service area, you get answers that actually fit your situation instead of a templated response that could apply to any house in the state.

I called them Friday and they said they’d be out first thing Monday morning and they were here by 8:30. They did high quality repair work on pipes and replaced two sink facets. It looks so much better than before and works like there was never an issue. The best part of this review is they were REASONABLE on charges. Highly recommend!

Serving Nacogdoches County and Piney Woods.

Peace of Mind Plumbing operates out of Nacogdoches and covers a six- county stretch of Deep East Texas Nacogdoches, Angelina, Shelby, San Augustine, Rusk, and Cherokee. Whether you’re in a city or out on a county road, we make the drive. Most communities in our service area have no local master plumber with a dedicated online presence, which is exactly why we built this site so you can find us when you need us and know what to expect before you call.

Service Area Questions

Straight answers. No filler.

What's the farthest you'll drive for a service call?

Our outer-ring cities (Center, Henderson, Etoile, Mount Enterprise) are roughly 50 to 70 minutes from our Nacogdoches base. We don’t serve outside that radius. If you’re farther out, we’ll tell you that on the phone instead of taking the call and hoping it works out.

Service-call pricing is the same across our coverage area. We don’t add a “long-distance fee” or “trip charge” tier the way some shops do for cities farther from their home base. The price you’re quoted is the price for the work, regardless of which of the six counties you’re in.

Yes. Backflow preventer testing, commercial gas service, kitchen equipment hookup, and commercial sewer camera inspection are available across all six counties. Restaurants, retail buildings, offices, and small commercial facilities are all in scope.

Call us at (936) 652-6335 and tell us where you are. Some smaller communities and unincorporated areas inside our six counties aren’t called out by name, but they may still be inside our service radius. We’ll give you a straight answer about whether we can cover the address.

Inner-ring cities (Nacogdoches, Lufkin, Appleby, Martinsville, Cushing, Chireno) typically yes, when scheduling allows. Outer-ring cities are scheduled coverage with same-day response possible but not guaranteed depending on workload. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Outside those hours, shut off your main water valve and call first thing the next morning.
